For a walkthrough that matches your plan exactly, use a 3D plan tool such as FloorGen, Planner 5D or RoomSketcher. For a fast concept clip from a flat plan image, use a generative tool such as Kispo, Dreamina or TensorPix. The first group is accurate but slower; the second is quick and can invent details.
Kispo is our product. Its floor plan video is a short transition clip, not a room-by-room walkthrough, and we say so below.
Two kinds of "floor plan to 3D video" tools
The search term covers two different technologies, and mixing them up leads to bad purchases.
Geometry tools build a real 3D model from your plan, so walls, doors and room sizes stay exact and you can place a camera anywhere. Generative tools look at a flat plan image and predict what a furnished 3D version might look like, then animate it. They are far faster, but the layout can drift: an extra window, a moved door, a missing room. The generative vendors say this themselves, and we cover it below.
Best AI floor plan to 3D video tools compared
Prices and terms were checked on each vendor's own site in October 2026. Where a figure is not published or was inconsistent, we say so.
| Tool | Type | Best for | Starting price | Free tier | Output | Where it falls short |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kispo Plan Elevate | Generative | Fast concept clip from a flat plan | 14 credits for 5 seconds, 26 for 10; plans from $9/month | $1 trial (14 credits) | 5 or 10 second clip; also a furnished 3D still, up to 4K | Locked top-down camera; no walk through rooms; layout can drift |
| FloorGen | Geometry | Editable plans with MP4 walkthrough export | Lite $5/month; Pro $20/month (no watermark) | Yes: 100 AI credits/month | MP4 or WebM in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, up to 1440p | Free and Lite exports carry a watermark; export needs a free account |
| Planner 5D | Geometry plus AI Studio | Designers who want 360 walkthroughs and AI video credits | Premium $19.99/month; Professional $49.99/month | Yes, but no walkthroughs or AI credits | 360 walkthrough (Professional); AI video from credits, about 12 five-second clips per 100 credits | Pricing page showed inconsistent amounts; confirm at checkout |
| RoomSketcher | Geometry | Interactive walkthroughs shared by link | Pro $24/month ($12/month billed annually) | Yes (2 starting credits) | Live 3D interactive walkthrough link; 3D photos and 3D floor plans | No video file export mentioned on the pages we read |
| Dreamina (Seedance) | Generative | Longer AI clips from a plan image | Not listed on the page we read | "Get started for free"; amount not stated | Single clips up to 30 seconds | No layout guarantee; pricing and resolution not stated |
| TensorPix | Generative | Low-cost plan-to-video experiments with music | Standard $5.50/month (billed annually) | Yes, weekly credits | Video from a plan plus prompt, with music; 1 credit is about 15 seconds of generated video | Can invent rooms or dimensions, per its own guide; specs not stated |
How we picked
We chose tools that can take a floor plan and end up with a video or a walkthrough a client can watch. We read each vendor's pricing and product pages in October 2026 and dropped numbers we could not confirm there. Cedreo and Floorplanner came up often, but the pages we read did not describe video or walkthrough features, so we left them out. Nobody paid to be listed.
Tool notes
Kispo Plan Elevate
You upload a flat 2D plan and pick an interior style. Kispo builds a furnished top-down 3D view and animates the plan turning into it: walls rise from the lines, floors and furniture appear. The camera stays locked overhead for the whole clip. The $1 trial's 14 credits covers one 5 second clip, and the same page makes a furnished 3D still from the plan.
This is not a walkthrough. You cannot move through rooms, and because the AI reads the plan as an image, always compare the result with your drawing. Try the 2D floor plan to 3D video app. If you need editable geometry, Kispo has a separate floor plan to 3D model tool.
FloorGen
FloorGen lists a free plan with 100 AI credits a month, Lite at $5, Pro at $20 and Studio at $50, with only Pro and Studio exporting without a watermark. Per its site, drawing needs no account, exports need a free sign-in, and video exports as MP4 or WebM up to 1440p. Because you build real geometry, the walkthrough matches your plan.
Planner 5D
Per its pricing page, Premium is $19.99 a month and Professional is $49.99 a month, with a free plan that excludes walkthroughs and AI credits. Professional adds a 360 walkthrough and unlimited 4K renders. AI video draws from a separate AI Studio balance, which the page says buys about 12 standard five-second clips per 100 credits. Its pricing page showed mismatched amounts in places, so confirm at checkout.
RoomSketcher
Live 3D is an interactive walkthrough of your plan, shared by a link that stays active for a year. The pricing page lists Free, Pro at $24 a month ($12 billed annually) and Team at $70 ($35 annually). We found no video file export, so it fits clients who will click through, not a social clip.
Dreamina (Seedance)
CapCut's Dreamina page says you upload a plan, write a prompt and generate, with single clips of up to 30 seconds. It lists no prices or resolutions. It can produce longer clips than Kispo, but the page makes no promise that the rooms will match your plan, so check every frame.
TensorPix
TensorPix's floor plan video guide walks through uploading a plan, writing a prompt and adding music. It is unusually candid: it tells you to check that the AI "did not invent rooms, doors, windows, walls" and to label concept video clearly. It also points you to traditional 3D tools when you need construction-level precision. Pricing starts with a free tier and Standard at $5.50 a month billed annually.
Which one should you choose?
- Architect or builder showing an exact layout: FloorGen or Planner 5D. Real geometry means the walkthrough cannot invent a room.
- Agent or builder who needs a quick pre-sale teaser from a plan: Kispo or TensorPix, labeled as a concept.
- Interior designer sharing a space with a client who will click around: RoomSketcher Live 3D.
- Marketer who wants a longer, more cinematic clip: Dreamina, with manual checks against the plan.
- Anyone who needs construction-grade drawings: None of these. Use CAD or BIM software and treat any AI video as presentation only.
FAQ
What is the best AI tool to turn a floor plan into a 3D video?
For an exact walkthrough, geometry tools like FloorGen and Planner 5D are the safest because they build real 3D from your plan. For a fast concept clip from a flat image, Kispo, Dreamina and TensorPix are quicker. Choose by whether layout accuracy matters more than speed.
Can AI make a 3D walkthrough from a 2D floor plan automatically?
Generative tools can, but the result is a prediction. They read the plan as an image and can add or move rooms, doors and windows. TensorPix's own guide warns about this. For a walkthrough you can trust, build the model in a geometry tool or verify every frame against the plan.
How much does a floor plan video tool cost?
Entry prices in this guide run from free to $49.99 a month. FloorGen Lite is $5, TensorPix Standard $5.50, RoomSketcher Pro $24, Planner 5D Premium $19.99 and Professional $49.99. Kispo's 5 second plan clip is 14 credits, roughly $1.15 to $1.40, with a $1 trial.
Is an AI floor plan video accurate enough for clients?
It is fine as a concept teaser if you label it that way. It is not fine as a record of the approved design. Compare the video to your drawing, remove clips with changed rooms or openings, and tell the client it is a visualization.
Can I export a video from a 3D floor plan tool?
It depends on the tool. FloorGen exports MP4 or WebM up to 1440p. Planner 5D produces AI video from credits and a 360 walkthrough on Professional. RoomSketcher offers an interactive Live 3D link, and we found no video file export on its pages.
