Chaos Veras is the best AI rendering software for architects who work inside Revit, SketchUp or Rhino, because it works from your live model view. Enscape and D5 Render stay the choice for accurate light and walkthroughs. Gendo suits collaborating studios, mnml.ai suits plugin users, and Kispo is the low-cost, no-install option for sketches and screenshots.
Kispo is our product. It is in the list with its limits, and in five places below another tool is the better choice.
What is AI rendering software for architects?
AI rendering software for architects turns a sketch, an elevation, a massing model or a screenshot of a SketchUp, Revit or Rhino view into a photoreal image in seconds or minutes. The AI guesses materials, light, planting and sky from a prompt and the input picture, so speed is high and exact geometry is never guaranteed.
A traditional renderer such as Enscape calculates light on your geometry; an AI renderer paints a believable picture on top of it. For tools that only polish a finished render, see our guide to AI render enhancer tools for architects.
Which AI rendering tools are best for architects in 2026?
The best AI rendering tools for architects in 2026 are Chaos Veras, Enscape, D5 Render, mnml.ai, Gendo, Visoid, ArkoAI, Krea and Kispo. They split into model-based renderers that need a 3D model and a graphics card, plugins that send a model view to AI, and browser tools that start from any image.
Prices and terms were checked on each vendor's own site in November 2026. Where a figure is not published, we say so. Some vendors show prices by country and add local tax, so your price can differ by region.

How did we pick these AI rendering tools?
We picked these AI rendering tools by reading the vendors' own product and pricing pages in November 2026, keeping tools that architects ask about and that AI search answers already cite, and dropping any figure we could not confirm. Nobody paid for a spot, and Kispo is judged on the same terms as the rest.
General builder tools are covered in our AI tools guide for builders. D5 Render's pricing page would not load for us, so we quote D5 only from its own help center.
Do you need a 3D model and a graphics card for AI rendering?
A 3D model and a graphics card are needed for Enscape and D5 Render, which calculate light on real geometry. Veras, mnml.ai, Visoid and ArkoAI read a model view through a plugin and hand it to an AI model. Kispo, Krea and the mnml.ai browser studio can start from any image, so a phone photo of a sketch works.
A model-based renderer never adds a window you did not draw, but it needs a modelled, textured scene. A browser AI renderer gives you many options fast, and any of them may quietly change a roof pitch.
Kispo's take: The mistake we see most is judging an AI renderer on its prettiest image. Judge it on the window count. Lay the render over your model view at half opacity before a client sees it; if openings, rooflines or floor heights moved, it is a mood image, not your design. For anything a client will sign against, render from the model in Enscape or D5 Render, and use AI for options and early buy-in.
We explain why this drift happens, and how to reduce it, in why AI renders change your building.
What is each AI rendering tool good and bad at?
Each AI rendering tool below is described from its vendor's own pages, with prices as of November 2026. The notes cover the input each tool expects, what you get back, the starting price and the honest limit, so you can match a tool to how your office already models and presents.
Kispo
Kispo runs in the browser with no install and no graphics card. Sketch to Life renders a hand sketch, Exterior and Interior Model Polish take a SketchUp, Revit or Rhino screenshot, and Elevation to Life pairs a 2D elevation with a colour reference. Each image is 4 credits (about $0.35), or 5 credits (about $0.44) at 4K; AI Model Comparison runs one image through three models with an AI judge for 12 credits (about $1.05). Plans start at $9/month for about 25 photos. The limits: Kispo sees only the image you upload, so geometry can drift, and it produces no editable model or measured drawings.
Chaos Veras
Veras works inside Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad, Vectorworks, Forma and Allplan, and as a web app. It generates design directions from a sketch or prompt and tests materials and facade treatments on the existing model geometry. Starter is US$202.80 a year and Pro US$348 a year, billed annually, with a 14-day free trial.
Enscape
Enscape plugs into Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad and Vectorworks and renders your model in real time. Solo is US$574.80 a year billed annually and includes Veras AI and 100 Chaos AI credits a month; Premium is US$670.80 and Collection US$730.80. There is a 14-day free trial. Enscape's Windows requirements list a dedicated graphics card with at least 4 GB of video memory.
D5 Render
D5 Render is a physically based real-time renderer for Windows; its help center lists a GTX 1060, Intel Arc A3 or AMD RX 6400 as the minimum card. The Community plan is free and lets you try all AI features 50 times; Pro, Edu and Team users get unlimited AI access. D5's pricing page would not load for us, so we have not quoted the Pro price.
mnml.ai
mnml.ai is a browser studio with sketch-to-image, exterior, interior and landscape tools, region edits, 8K upscaling and walkthrough video, plus free plugins for SketchUp 2026, Revit 2024 to 2027 and Rhino 8. Lite is $29/month ($290/year) for 1,000 credits, about 100 fast or 33 ultra renders. New accounts get 100 free credits with no card.
Gendo
Gendo is a shared canvas where a studio turns sketches and SketchUp exports into renders, swaps materials with a prompt and approves options together. The free plan is watermarked with 1K exports. Studio is £79/month, or £66/month billed annually (£790/year), excluding tax, with unlimited generations; video seconds are sold in packs.
Visoid
Visoid renders 3D models through plugins for SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad and Miro, with moodboard-to-render and Google Maps site placement. The free plan gives up to 10 standard 1K images with a watermark. Pro is $29/month, or $15/month billed annually, for 500 credits.
ArkoAI
ArkoAI gives one license across Rhino, SketchUp, Revit and its Studio app, with seed settings and negative prompts on the Pro model. A free trial is linked, but the pricing page we read lists no prices or render quotas. The free basic model caps images at 608 pixels tall.
Krea
Krea is a general generative suite with a real-time canvas and dozens of image and video models, not an architecture tool. The free plan gives 100 compute units a day; Basic is $9/month ($5/month billed annually) for 5,000 units. Good for mood studies, weak at holding your exact building.
Which AI rendering software should you choose?
The right AI rendering software depends on where your design lives. Architects modelling in Revit, SketchUp or Rhino get the most from Veras or Enscape. Studios reviewing options together suit Gendo. Anyone with only a sketch, elevation or screenshot and no graphics card can start in Kispo for a few dollars.
- You model in Revit, SketchUp or Rhino: Chaos Veras reads the live view, which Kispo cannot.
- You need accurate light and walkthroughs for a final presentation: Enscape or D5 Render beat any image-based AI.
- Your team and clients review options together: Gendo's shared canvas.
- You want plugins and a browser studio on one plan: mnml.ai.
- You have a sketch, elevation or screenshot and no install budget: Kispo, from a $1 trial.
- You want loose concept and mood imagery: Krea, free to start.
What else do architects ask about AI rendering software?
What is the best AI rendering software for architects?
The best AI rendering software for architects depends on the starting point. Chaos Veras is best when you work in Revit, SketchUp or Rhino and want AI options from the live model. Enscape and D5 Render are best for accurate final views. Kispo and mnml.ai are strong browser choices when you only have an image.
Can AI render directly from a SketchUp model?
Yes. Veras, Enscape, mnml.ai, Visoid and ArkoAI all list SketchUp plugins that render the active view without exporting a file. Kispo takes a different route: you save a SketchUp screenshot and upload it in the browser. The plugin route keeps the view in sync; the screenshot route needs no install and works on any computer.
Is AI rendering accurate enough for client presentations?
AI rendering is accurate enough for early options, mood and quick client buy-in, but not for anything a client signs against. AI tools can change window counts, rooflines or proportions while the image still looks convincing. Check every render against your model, and use a model-based renderer such as Enscape or D5 Render for final views.
How much does AI rendering software cost for architects?
AI rendering software for architects costs from free plans up to a few hundred dollars a year for one seat, as of November 2026. Kispo starts at $9/month, mnml.ai Lite at $29/month, Veras Starter at US$202.80 a year and Enscape Solo at US$574.80 a year. Several tools offer free tiers or 14-day trials.
If you have a sketch or a model screenshot on your desk right now, try it in Kispo's rendering apps. New accounts get 14 credits for $1 with no subscription, enough for three renders, so you can check the geometry against your own model before paying for a plan.
